Another world exists underground in Oregon's longest lava tube. Descend into darkness as we navigate over 100 stairs near the entrance to the cave. The lava tube is over one mile long and is about fifty feet under ground. It was created by a massive lava flow many years ago.
We were required to have two light sources per person before we entered the "self-guided" cave. The temperature was a COLD 40 degrees and it took us almost two hours to explore the entire cave. Most people turned back before reaching the end of the lava tube. The warm September sun was welcomed after returning from what felt like the inside of a refrigerator!
This sequence was captured by a Canon Vixia HFS-100 camera in an extreme low-light (sometimes no-light) environment. Post production was with Adobe Premier Pro 6.0.
