Mike Ross returns with “Jenny’s Place” , the follow-up to his critically acclaimed solo debut, the Americana-tinged “Spindrift”. “Jenny’s Place” receives a full release on 2nd March and will be distributed in the UK by At The Helm/Proper.

“Jenny's Place”, boasts a fuller and more muscular set of performances. The textures found here are thicker and sinewy, from the highway rolling 'Dakota Red' and the agonized blues of 'Dark Powder' to the Petty-esque choruses and melodic structure of 'Jenny (Sun Goes Down)' and the bar-room swagger of 'The Big Picture' or 'Baby, I Love You’.

As Mike explains, “Jenny is my wife, she owns a beautiful little summer house and some land in a village called Byvallen in northern Sweden that used to belong to her grandparents (the house on the back cover of the album). The first time I visited there I experienced the uniquely strange sensation of having been there before, of somehow belonging there. Stronger than deja-vu, more fundamental somehow, the sense of familiarity extended even to knowing instinctively where things were kept around the house and outbuildings. Even the feel of the mossy grass underfoot was familiar on some deep-down level. It’s a remote part of the world and few have reason to visit it, but it feels like home.
