Prayer of the Day

Heavenly Father, on this holy Sunday, I come before You with gratitude for the gift of life and the opportunity to begin again. Thank You for carrying me through another week, for the blessings I recognized, and for the quiet ways You sustained me when I did not know how to move forward.
Lord Jesus, Your Word reminds me that I must give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God. Help me understand what this means for my life. I have responsibilities to my family, my work, my community, and the world in which I live. Yet above every earthly responsibility, I belong to You. My life, my conscience, my gifts, and my capacity to love are entrusted to me by Your goodness.
Father, teach me to fulfill my daily duties with honesty and integrity. Help me respect others, act fairly, keep my promises, and contribute to the common good. When I face difficult decisions, give me the wisdom to distinguish between what is convenient and what is right. Keep me from using my responsibilities as an excuse to neglect prayer, compassion, or the needs of those around me.
Lord, remind me that every person bears a dignity that cannot be measured by money, social position, nationality, or success. When I am tempted to judge someone by outward appearances, help me see them as a person loved by You. When I encounter injustice, give me the courage to respond peacefully and responsibly. When I possess more than I need, teach me to share generously.
I pray for leaders, public servants, and everyone entrusted with authority. Grant them wisdom, honesty, and a sincere concern for the people they serve. Protect communities affected by conflict, corruption, poverty, and division. Inspire people of different backgrounds to work together for peace and the dignity of every human life.
As I participate in the celebration of the Eucharist, prepare my heart to receive Christ with faith and reverence. May this encounter renew my commitment to live the Gospel not only in church, but also at home, at work, and in every ordinary interaction.
Father, help me give You not merely a portion of my time, but the direction of my whole life. Let my choices reflect Your truth, my relationships reveal Your love, and my service bring hope to others.
May this Sunday strengthen my faith and prepare me to begin the coming week with a peaceful heart and a willing spirit.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
