Marabou Hair Jig ~ Feider fly ~ Bass Fishing with Hair Jigs

If you want to put some big smallmouth in the boat this year you need to start using hair jigs! I love marabou hair jigs and I have one tied on my rod year round. The secret has been out for some time and the Feider Fly will catch some smallies this year. In this video I talk about the sizes and colors of the marabou hair jig that I like to use. It is important to have the proper rod and reel setup when using this jig because of how light it is and the importance of making a long cast. I prefer to use a 7' St Croix Legend Xtreme Medium Light paired with a Shimano Stradic 3000 Series Spinning Reel. I like to use 6lb Gamma Torgue as my main line and use 5Lb Gamma Touch as my leader (about 10-12 Feet)

Who is SmallmouthCrush?
