Tod is working at an amusement park and moonlighting as a realtor, when he comes across this beautiful, unabashed, ravishing, blonde, who takes him on a wild ride. We find out that she is really Tod's boss, a mild-mannered, nondescript brunet. It's a case of dissociative identity disorder that almost leads to a disaster.
Superb acting by Ms. Oliver here. I couldn't tell it was the same actress.
The inside scene at Tod's work place is the King Neptune's Courtyard at the Pacific Ocean Park (POP) on Pier Ave (about a mile south of the Sta. Monica Pier), which opened in 1958 and its remnants torn down in 1975. The area was all rebuilt with a condo. Several TV shows and films were made there, including the final episode of The Fugitive. The park is mentioned in a Beach Boys song.
The very first scene is a chase down Neilsson Way, across Raymond Ave, and right onto Pier Ave. The nightclub is Shelley's Mann-Hole, now the Velvet Margarita at 1612 N Cahuenga Blvd, Hollywood, where several jazz records were made. The real estate office is at 9414 Brighton Way, B Hills.
Important to note that Buz (Maharis) does not show up on this episode at all. Explanation is given by Tod answering a phone call from Buz where he is supposed to be sick and out for 3 weeks with a virus! It looks like this is the start of Maharis's hold out.
