Here's how to mod a cheapo 1.2ghz wireless camera for FPV (First Person View) Flying! The parts used in this modification are usually available at low cost in your local hardware stores and the results speak for themselves. As you will see in this video, the DIY antennae transform this cheapo wireless camera into a descent system that you can use for your park-flyer plane or quadcopter !
The LOS range becomes 300m (color) to 400m (grayscale), which is a big improvement over the stock range of 3m (indoor) - 15m (outfield).
Note: your results may vary as the performance of your modded unit is dependent on the build quality of your antennae and the noise floor in your area.
