The Contax Zeiss Sonnar T 180mm f2.8 and Tele-tessar T 300mm f/4 lenses are lenses that not only produce beautiful, naturally sharp images with stunning colour rendering, but the are also very affordable at around $300 to $400 US for a mint copy.

Both of these lenses are ideal for filming details of wildlife and nature, as well as portraits and close ups. I even filmed an entire paid commercial with just the Sonnar T 180mm f2.8, together with my Blackmagic Pocket 6K.

Both of these Contax Zeiss lenses can easily be adapted to just about any mirrorless camera using either a Simmodlens adapter, or another adapter like the K&F Concept Contax/Yachica to Canon EF adapter.

I've been filming with these lenses for years because I love the film-like images they produce and I highly recommend trying them out. I recommend purchasing one in mint + condition so they retain their value over time. These lenses are becoming more and more valuable every year and are a worthwhile investment.
