AMR500 supercharged 903cc. 10 psi of boost. E85 fuel only. Microsquirt ECU. Two 550cc injectors. Wasted spark, batch fire. Ford EDIS-4 and coil pack. 36-1 timing wheel.
Since the last GEAR event, I have installed an air/water intercooler to lower the air inlet temperature. The IAT was always between 80C and 100C. Now it sits steady at 33C. This will give a noticeable power increase once the AFR's are sorted. Usually, I spend a day at Pheasant Wood just driving and letting the auto-tune function sort itself out. I never had time on this occasion. I did drive around the pit area tuning and I thought I would get away with tuning on the first few laps. What I did not allow for was the extra draw of about 5 amps from the added water pump which kept the voltage down to 11.5v for the session. I have now installed a smaller alternator pulley so it should have 13.4v at idle.
