I Remade Sephiroth's Supernova in Blender

Описание: It's my personal project from summer 2024 : I attempted to recreate Sephiroth's Supernova from Final Fantasy VII in Blender.

In Final Fantasy VII, released in 1997, the final battle opposes Cloud and his band against Sephiroth, who has transcended his humanity after absorbing the Lifestream’s energy and summoning a massive Meteor to devastate the planet. In his new divine form, Safer Sephiroth, he stands in a cosmic showdown where the battlefield seems to exist beyond the boundaries of reality. Among his most iconic attacks, he unleashes Supernova, an illusion of massive destruction.

In this legendary scene, Sephiroth summons a meteor that travels across a vast portion of the universe before reaching the solar system. Along the way, it obliterates several planets before crashing into the Sun, triggering its catastrophic explosion and creating a true supernova. In real-world astronomy, a supernova marks the explosive death of a star that has exhausted its fuel, collapsing under its own gravity before releasing an enormous amount of energy.

It is my very first attempt at making 3D animation, it was a difficult task both for me and my computer. I tried to stay faithful to the material, in the shots and spirit.
In the end, I am happy with the result even if I could give it some improvements such as Space Clouds or even on the characters animations.

I hope you'll like it ! I am personaly impatient to see the Supernova in the Remake.
