Soaking in the views of the North Park, near Ute Pass (east) before heading down into the Walden Valley.
less than a mile after Ute pass, there was one of the most gnarly blowdowns you can come across and still get around it. Cliffs on the slow side of trail and a very steep uphill with many blown down trees made for an especially challenging obstacle course. Especially while carrying a 30lbs backpack.
Views of the East Sand Hills were a treat for after getting through the dense forest.
