Photodegradation is the alteration of materials caused by light. Tipically, the term refers to the combination action of sunlight. UV radiation causes photoxidative degradation which results in breaking of the polymer chains, producing free radicals and in the end causing deterioration of mechanical properties.
Delta Tecnic produces Masterbatches with UV filters to avoid the photodegradation.
