Russia's Putin says cooperation with China's Xi, India's Modi "stabilizing" world

Russian President Vladimir Putin greeted Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday at the opening of the BRICS summit, saying that growing cooperation between Moscow and Beijing was a "stabilizing" factor for the world.
Putin called Xi his "dear friend" and said that Moscow and Beijing would work towards creating a just world order. Xi told Putin that the international situation was gripped by chaos, but that Beijing's strategic partnership with Moscow was a force for stability amid the most significant changes seen in a century.
Putin also held talks with India Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi said that India believes the Russia-Ukraine conflict should be resolved peacefully and New Delhi is ready to play any role to support peace and stability.
During the meeting, Putin forgot about the interpreters and kept speaking in Russian. Soon he made a pause and joked: "Our relations are so good, I thought you understand everything."
