Lawmakers say Utah houses are for families, not big investors with big cash

Описание: SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Two Utah lawmakers are seeking to curb large investors from dominating the state’s housing market, saying it makes homeownership increasingly difficult for local families.

State Representatives Gay Lynn Bennion (D-Salt Lake City) and Tyler Clancy (R-Provo) introduced separate bills aimed at giving everyday homebuyers an edge over institutional investors, who often purchase homes in a market with low supply and drive up prices.
