Two wealthy buffoons, Munnu and Bunnu, get involved in a conspiracy to replace a Chief Minister with a lookalke by some corrupt government officials. Meanwhile, Munnu's identical cousin, arrives for a visit from the rural parts, and is mistaken for the real Munnu. The city-wise Munnu visits his cousin to find a safe place to hide out, and is mistaken by the local townspeople for his cousin.

Aankhen (1993) is a Hindi action comedy film directed by David Dhawan and written by Anees Bazmee. The film stars Govinda, Chunky Pandey, Raj Babbar, Kader Khan, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Ritu Shivpuri, Raageshwari, Shilpa Shirodkar, Harish Patel, Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Raza Murad, Mac Mohan, Gavin Packard, Dina Pathak, Govind Namdeo.

The story revolves around two good-for-nothing brothers, Munnu (Chunky Pandey) and Bunnu (Govinda), who are notorious for their practical jokes. Their father, Hasmukh Rai (Kader Khan), discovers that they have been lying about their college grades and kicks them out of the house. Bunnu disappears under mysterious circumstances, and Munnu gets involved in a conspiracy to kill his brother. Meanwhile, Bunnu's identical cousin, Gaurishankar, arrives from a rural village and is mistaken for Bunnu. The film follows the hilarious misunderstandings and the brothers' attempts to navigate the dangerous conspiracy.

The film's music was composed by Bappi Lahiri, and it was a major hit at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of 1993.
