Have you heard of worry stones? I only discovered them when I started working with clay, and I immediately wanted to try making my own. I already made a heart and a cat paw, but this time I wanted something completely different — and that’s how the avocado kitty idea was born.
An avocado cat, where instead of the pit there’s a little cat face. I wanted the part you rub with your finger to be matte and velvety, so I polished it with sandpaper. But since avocados are slightly shiny on the outside, I wanted the back to have a bit of gloss, so I coated it with resin — UV resin.
And of course, I couldn’t leave it at home and took it with me for a walk around New York City right away.
