Calatrava is a quiet town in the very north of tablas island which does not get many foreign tourists visit. Calatrava is known to the locals and filipino travelers for its insane island hopping tour of many coves around the coast of tablas which can not be reached by land.
On arriving to calatrava head to the beach front or port and ask fishermen or anybody on the boats for island hopping, we had people coming up to us asking if we wanted to do the trip so that was really easy.
The price is around 1500 pesos for the boat and this is what we was told from our accommodation so we know its a good price, Its a good idea to agree on were you will be taken on this trip as there are many coves and you may prefer to visit some and not others. We recommend visiting tinagong dagat which has a pool inland which is very very unusual and very rare to see in the Philippines and should be considered as a true gem of romblon.
Romblon has so much to offer if you just take the time to go deep into this amazing province
