We are energy experts — in oil and gas and beyond. Our faculty oversee nearly $10 million in research funding that focuses on all aspects of subsurface engineering. We lead the way in traditional research areas like formation evaluation, reservoir engineering and enhanced oil recovery. And we’re quite literally breaking new ground in fields that are crucial for a sustainable energy future, including machine learning and data analytics, carbon capture and storage, geothermal energy, methane emissions mitigation, hydrogen storage, and rare earth elements.
