Pastor Phil continues in the new series in the Old Testament Book of Psalms on Sunday Mornings here at Calvary Chapel Elk Grove. Today's message comes from Psalm 11, as is entitled, "If The Foundations Are Destroyed-Part 5." As Pastor Phil points out, God has created three institutions that a civilized, God ordained society must be built upon: 1. Government; 2. The Church; and 3. The Family.

Today Pastor Phil carves out practical illustrations and truths to help husbands and wives experience more successful marriages.

The Book of Psalms expresses worship—in fact Psalms translates as ‘a song’. Throughout its many pages, Psalms encourages its readers to praise God for who He is and what He has done.

Psalms serves as a songbook, prayer book, and a guide for understanding God's character and attributes, His faithfulness and help in time of troubles, the nature of faith, and a reminder of the absolute centrality of His Word. We also see innumerable verses that point to Jesus, the Messiah.

Calvary Chapel Elk Grove is a non-denominational fellowship located in Roselle, a northwest suburb of Chicago in Illinois.
