Stop blocking and saw-off finishes! This golf post impact drill with NFL player starts from the release position—setup normal, move to post-impact (face square/slightly released), then swing back through ball in one motion. The key difference: old pattern held face open (blocked), new pattern releases face naturally with butt back, left heel pressure. Driver/long irons need full finish extension (not shortened saw-off that works for irons/wedges).
What You'll Learn:
-Driver setup vs iron: body moves back so ball moves forward (inside left big toe), taller posture with arms hanging
-Distance adjustment: driver requires standing farther away, lower hands naturally (not leading like irons)
-Post-impact drill sequence: setup → move to post-impact position → check face square → swing back over ball → hit through in one motion
-Release feel: face square/slightly closed at post-impact (not open/blocked like old pattern) for golf release club through impact
-Body position keys: butt back, right shoulder down, left heel pressure, left knee long (not underneath you)
-Saw-off finish problem: works great for irons/wedges but club too long for driver (need full extension around corner)
-Face angle comparison: blocked = face open at post-impact, released = face square to slightly closed naturally
-Smash factor benchmark: 1.48-1.50 = on the screws (perfect contact), measures how well you hit it
-Tempo principle: slow smooth backswing, quick snap at bottom (not rushing transition) for golf release techniques
-Full finish requirement: driver/long irons need complete extension through (can't stop early like iron swing)
