It is hard for us as mortal human beings to imagine the actual position of the King of Glory but this song packs in a lot of wonderful thoughts and truths. It builds a beautiful picture that tells us The King of Glory is Christ and He gave up His throne to prove His love.
This hymn, written by Mike Payne, is an all-time favorite with us. After some careful consideration, it was decided that we would add an additional verse to further the wonderful picture this song presents.
He built us a world to live, to show us what he could give.
We’ve done so much harm He sounds an alarm to warn of our sins.
He’s paid the redemption price, now He is our sacrifice.
