When we started working with Ben on his new stem, he was heavily influenced by older classic looking top load stems and wanted something super stiff. What we came up with was a classic looking topload with some modern features keeping the weight down to where it should be. No hollow bolts in this one. One thing you can't see on this stem is that it's 100% forged 6061-T6 aluminum. Not only does this make the stem superior in strength, but it minimizes wasted material unlike CNC processes. The final bonus to the forging process is some addition cost savings passed down to our customers.
