Today we will be learning about how to troubleshoot lash service fills. These are two common problems when clients come back for their lash fills and how to handle them.

Problem #1: Your client booked for a fill but they need a full lash set

Discuss before you start! This will prevent them from being surprised with a big bill at the end of their service. A normal fill is about 50% retention and a mini fill is 75% retention.

1. When deciding what to charge for in between fills/sets, use the time it takes to complete their set for an estimate. If you charge 100$ for a set and 50$ for a fill, 75$ may be the magic number for an in betweener.

2. Educate your client on the expectations of a fill and then give them the extra cost for free the first time. If they continue to come in with less lashes, try booking them in earlier.

3. If you don't have the time to complete their fill, let them know their lashes wont be as full as normal and then give them the best service you can. After you are done you can book them in earlier than normal to finish the job.

***NOTE-- Be sure the issue is with the client and not something behind the chair. Such as an old lash glue or high humidity in your room.


Problem #2: Too many lashes

Honesty is the best policy. If they only need a mini-fill and you complete their lashes quickly. Charge them for the service they received. Your client will be so excited and keep coming back, they will also likely tell their friends about the awesome service you provide, helping you grow your business. Of course if it looks like a mini-fill but still takes a long time you can charge them full price for the fill. 💕
