*️⃣ Some Fusion dancers enjoy minimal movement (also known as #microfusion) and some prefer little to no contact (sometimes referred to as #contactimprov or #freestyle). ⠀

⏺ The terms #switchdance and #stealdance are also popular in the Fusion community. ⠀

🔄 A switch dance is when two people decide to switch roles during a dance - the leader switches to follow and the follow switches to lead. This generally happens multiple times throughout the same song. Dancers may agree to “switch“ before the dance starts so that switches can happen more fluidly.⠀

🔀 A steal dance is when other dancers cut in on or “steal” your partner during a dance. If your partner gets stolen, you usually go on to steal someone else. Typically a DJ or organizer will announce a steal dance so each individual has an option to participate or not. Anyone can steal; both lead and follow.⠀

⏭ In Fusion dance, you may also see more than two people dancing together at once. A quick steal dance of sorts between 3 or more people. ⠀
