LIFE HISTORY OF THE LATE MARY TALAA KIPKOCHEM
EARLYLIFE
Mary Talaa Kipkechem was born in 1956 in Issas Baringo North, she was
beloved irst born daughter of the late Paulo Yatich Chelagat and Gogo Clara
Tungo. Mary with parents relocate to Kabiyet Eldama Ravine in 1967.
Mary was Sister to late Christina, Rodah, Jane, Sarah, Julius, Margaret, Rose,
Charles, Lonah, James, Samuel, Elijah, Ann, Isaac, Patricia and Carolyne.
Mary was beloved in law to Solomon, Late Wilson, Joseph, Mary, Samuel, Rashid
and Mary Rop.
EDUCATION
Mary went to Kabiyet primary school where she completed her primary
education.
MARRIAGE LIFE
Mary Talaa was married to Ezekiel Kipkechem Cherop in the year 1973 of
Kapcheswach village , Tirimionin sub- location Aiyebo . She was beloved
Mother to Amos, Ken, Ruth, late Emily, late Robert, Philip, Kemei, Ben, Samuel,
Rachel and Maurine.
Mary was beloved Mother in law to Linah, Mildred, Limo, Janet, Nelly, Angela,
Cynthia, Alex and Josphat.
Mary was beloved Grandmother to Sheryl, Deborah, Abigael, Alphah, Elisha,
Brian, Nathan, Mercy, Philis, Edwin, late Brian, Cynthia, Bethwel, Andrew,
Mercy, Kevin, Jayden, Ethan, Faith, Daniel, Precious, Blessings, Sandra, Yator,
Ramsey, Victor, Natasha, Samantha, Malia, Tanisha and Kimutai.
Gogo was beloved Great Grandmother to Lesley, Lance and Aiden.
CHRISTIAN LIFE
Mary was a true dedicated Christian. She was a mentor. She was a member of
AIC Kenya and a member of Ushirika. Mary was baptized in 1997 at AIC
Kabartonjo. Mary was a song bird and dancer of gospel. Mary oftenly moved her
head and body slowly and rhythmically on hearing good gospel songs. Mary
also shared several verses, made Godly teaching and led many of us to Christian
life. She indeed a child of God.

MEDICAL HISTORY
She has been doing well under medication, in the month of September she
developed neuritis which later developed into diabetic wound in her toes. On
December 27th 2025 she was taken to Eldoret for specialized wound care
(where she stayed with her daughter and the wound healed).
On 2nd Feb 2026 she developed several episodes of syncope (fainting) her
situation worsened prompting immediate rush to MTRH Memorial.
She was later diagnosed with congestive heart failure and pulmonary
embolism.Mary Talaa went to rest with the Lord at 4:50 am, Wednesday 4th
2026. May her Soul rest in Eternal Peace.
