We will go over 3 examples of finding an equation of the tangent line to a curve at a given point. Remember, whenever we want to find an equation of the line, we need 1. the point and 2. the slope. The slope of the tangent line is the part that requires calculus! We will use the definition of derivative in terms of a limit to find the slope of the tangent line. And then we will use the point-slope of the line, namely y-y1=m(x-x1), to set up, and then we will write the answer in slope-intercept form.
