Over fifty and tired of complicated workouts? Try one simple move that uses only your body: the Horse Stance. Stand next to a wall or a sturdy chair for safety. Place your feet a little wider than your shoulders, with toes slightly turned out. Push your hips back as if you’re about to sit down, then bend your knees just enough to feel your legs working—stay comfortable and don’t go low. Keep your chest open, your back long, and your eyes forward.
Now add calm breathing: inhale for three counts, exhale slowly for five counts. Hold for 20–40 seconds today, then stand up gently and rest. This trains the muscles that help you rise from a chair and stay steady on your feet in daily life.
Stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, or unusual symptoms. If you have heart or blood pressure concerns, or recent surgery, check with a clinician first. Subscribe to True Senior Healthness for more simple strength tips.
