EMPATHS don't ABSORB energy. They RECREATE their TRAUMA

You've been told this is your "gift" as an empath.

The very idea that you can "absorb" someone else's energy reinforces the illusion of separation. It creates an "us vs. them" mentality where you become the victim of other people's energetic states.

But in reality, there is no "other" whose energy you're absorbing. There is only consciousness experiencing itself in different forms.

If you identify as an empath, you likely experienced childhood circumstances where you had to become hypervigilant about the emotional states of those around you.

This created a pattern where you became exquisitely attuned to emotional cues in your environment while simultaneously disconnecting from your own emotional experience.

The result? You developed a nervous system that's highly reactive to perceived emotional states in others, but often confused about what you yourself are actually feeling.

This isn't a special gift of absorbing others' energy. It's a trauma response that served you well in childhood but is now creating suffering in your adult life.

Many self-identified empaths struggle to make decisions, to know what they want, or to clearly identify their own feelings. This isn't because they're too busy processing others' emotions. It's because they never developed the capacity to recognize and honor their own emotional experience.

There's only one stream of energy, one consciousness, experiencing itself in infinite ways. The energy you feel is you... even when you've labeled it as coming from "outside."
