A political controversy has erupted over former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane’s unpublished memoir Four Stars of Destiny. The issue began in Parliament when Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi attempted to cite excerpts from the book, which the government said had not yet been published. Later, Penguin Random House India clarified that the book is still under review and no copies have been officially printed, distributed, or sold. Delhi Police has registered an FIR over the alleged illegal circulation of the manuscript in digital formats. The case focuses on the unauthorised distribution of the unpublished book, not its contents.
