VIDEO RECAP: The transformation of Planet VirKey is in full swing as we enter the final day before Love Burn 2024's gates open. The DPW (Department of Public Works) and OPS (Operations Team) are making stellar progress, with the power grid now stretching across the landscape like a glowing web of cosmic energy. Our tireless A.S.S.H.A.T. (Art Support Service HeArtery Assist Team) is working hand-in-hand with artists to bring their visions to life. From towering sculptures to interactive installations, the creative spirit of our community is truly shining through. Theme Camps start to emerge as the sun sets on another day of hard work and collaboration, the outline of our temporary city is beginning to emerge. ABOUT LOVE BURN: The year 2024 marked the 10th installment of Love Burn, South Florida’s regional Burning Man event.

SPACE OPERA: Resistance Triumphs Over Goon Squad in Epic Space Opera Showdown!

In a dazzling display of cosmic artistry, the rebel Resistance defeated the evil Goon Squad at the Love Burn 2024 Space Opera. Hundreds of performers, towering puppets, and flaming art cars clashed in an explosive dance-off that rocked Planet VirKey. Through stunning visuals and mesmerizing beats, the Resistance proved victorious, saving their world from tyranny. Relive the adventure and go behind the scenes of this once-in-a-lifetime immersive theater experience!

Thousands of participants hailing across all 50 states and representing 29 different countries congregated in Miami, co-creating a marvel of sights, sounds, and sensations over 4 beautiful days and nights.

VOLUNTEER: Love Burn is a Volunteer-run event. Everyone is asked to volunteer at least 4 hours before, during or after the event. This serves many purposes including:
❤️ Volunteering gives the community ownership of the success and growth of the event
🧡 Volunteering helps bond people together in good times and bad
💛 Volunteering allows people to expand their skill sets and teach others
💚 Volunteering keeps operations costs down so the event is accessible to more creators
💙 Volunteering helps artists, campers, builders, doers create bigger projects with love
💜 Volunteering helps everyone feel good knowing that together we created this event

ART: At The Love Burn, we pride ourselves on supporting our artists and are honored to have been able to provide more than 210 art grants in 2024. The scale and grandeur of their productions were unmatched. Several large-scale Burning Man pieces are featured, including: El Pulpo Magnfico art car; Fire on the Midway, including fire-fueled games like Flaming Foosball; Harvey the Disco Kitty and Xuza Art Cars; and much more. Several pieces were emotionally evocative, including Anam Kara Temple, Electric Dandelions, Draco, Metaheart, and Elysium, which were immersive, experiential, sonic art installations.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Our 275 theme camps also bring it bigger and better than ever before in 2024. Sky Bar erects their awe-inspiring rig offering breath-taking views of the event and the Miami skyline. Incendia’s mix of pyrotechnics and music made it a popular spot for late night revelry. And sound camps like Deep Florida and Big Puffy Yellow bring impressive sound systems and booty shaking beats that kept their dance floors packed for hours on end.
