The To7 DM02 is a great little motor. Small, light, powerful and when working well, a pure joy to ride.
Possibly the best DIY torque sensing mid-drive of it's class currently on the market.
However, the controller, while versatile and providing excellent motor feedback and adjustability can fail from time to time.
Replacing it is relatively easy, undo a few screws, remove the faulty controller then screw in and plug in the new one and screw the motor back together... easy.
Except for the spaghetti fest of wires and the small space for them to go.
Here, I give a few suggestions of how to get the wires safely out of the way of the metal casting of the motor.
