Hi. I'm Steve Dalbey with Moreland Properties and I wanted to talk to you about Barton Creek. It's this wonderful, little community which is just a few miles west of Downtown Austin. It's right at the beginning of the Texas Hill Country where the topography of the area really changes and there's all these rolling hills that are in the area. It's naturally a gorgeous place to live.

It's almost a midpoint between Downtown Austin and also the Lake Travis area so the ease of access of having all these really cool diverse things to do is one of the big pluses about living in the Barton Creek area.

Really the hub of the whole Barton Creek area is the Barton Creek Club and Resort. It has three different golf courses, the Fazio Course, the Crenshaw Course and also the newest one which is the Fazio Canyons Course. It also has a hotel, has a world class spa that's a part of it also.

One of the things you definitely want to do though if you're considering the Barton Creek area is to stop by and talk to the people in the membership department and ask them if they will give you a tour of the club. It's absolutely fascinating and I think that you will see how the Barton Creek Club could very easily become a part of your life also.

One of the really cool things about the Barton Creek area is how diverse it is. There are actually right now 19 different gated and non-gated communities that are in this area and each one has its very different look, a very different feel. There are houses that are here in Barton Creek that are right on the golf course, smaller houses. There are also estate-sized lots up to 12 acres that are here.

In terms of price ranges, about the least expensive house here is around $500,000 and the most expensive home that's listed in the area right now is $12 million.

So a big, big range of different homes in different communities that are here in Barton Creek. Depending on what you're looking for, it probably is here.

When it comes to schools in the Barton Creek area, there are many, many different options. Of course Barton Creek is part of the Austin Independent School District but if you prefer private schools, there are some extraordinary private schools in the area too.

There is St. Gabriel's and also St. Michael's Catholic. Not only elementary, middle school and also high school programs that are here. There also is the St. Andrew's and also St. Stephen's Episcopal School that are very, very close by. Regents School is also very close by.
