Our Kyoto day trip included:
– 🌅 Fushimi Inari Shrine at 6am — thousands of red torii gates before the crowds
– 🛕 Kiyomizu-dera & Hōkan-ji Pagoda — sweeping temple views & Kyoto’s most photogenic street
– ✨ Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) — shimmering gold reflections and a must-try matcha ice cream
– 🐒 Arashiyama Monkey Park — a massive hike, hungry kids, and a cash-only headache
– 🎮 Nintendo Museum — stressful ticket lottery, old-school Nintendo history & why we’d skip it next time

💡 Travel Tips from Our Day:
– Get to Fushimi Inari before 8am to beat the crowds
– Hire a private driver if you want to see more than 2–3 spots in one day
– Bring plenty of cash — many Kyoto attractions don’t accept cards
– If you’re short on time, skip Nintendo Museum and spend it in Arashiyama Bamboo Forest instead
