This was filmed in 1992 when I did one months duty on Sark to cover for another Keeper. You can only get to Sark by boat and every day during the Summer season it gets busy. The Island itself is like stepping back in time with country lanes, bicycles, Horse & carts, tractors, fields with hedges and wild flowers etc.
Cars are banned, you wont see any of them, so the Ambulances & Fire engines are trailers pulled by tractors.
The Lighthouse was also unique, it was the only one that I can remember that still had it's clockwork motor that used to drive the lens around, and in a working condition.
In 2017, the lens you see in my film was removed and updated to LED technology, here is a link to the time lapse video of the removal
