Описание: Two of the best storytellers in American rock — Patterson Hood (Drive-By Truckers) and Craig Finn (The Hold Steady) — brought their co-headlining acoustic tour to the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach on November 15, 2025, and I was lucky enough to be there with a camera, an iPhone, and way too many batteries in my pockets.

This tour has Finn and Hood trading stories, swapping songs, and leaning on multi-instrumentalist Ben Hackett — a rare blend of grit, humor, heartbreak, and the kind of rock-and-roll camaraderie you can’t fake.

I caught a handful of songs that night — some on my iPhone, some handheld on the Canon R6 Mark II, and a bit on the Osmo Nano. The Nano footage… well, it wanted to be in focus. But the audio holds up, and if you listen with your ears instead of your eyes for that moment, you’ll still feel the room and the night.

For context, this tour kicked off in Seattle and wraps in Austin, with a special triple-bill in Santa Fe featuring Alejandro Escovedo. It’s a celebration of friendship, songwriting, and the long, winding roads that shape both.

This is just one performance — candid, raw, and real — from a whole playlist of “Music From WorldRider’s Travels.” Not always on-brand with the motorcycles, the wine, or the wandering… but it’s all part of following curiosity and saying yes to the things that move you.
