Groundbreaking Collaboration – METROPOLITAN HSCT NETWORK OF ROMAGNA

Описание: The HSCT programme of Romagna is a metropolitan network including n. 3 Clinical Units located in three different cities in Romagna (Ravenna, Rimini and Meldola-Forli/Cancer Center)- Italy, n. 3 collection units located in Ravenna, Rimini and Forli Hospital, and a single cell processing unit located in Cesena (PieveSestina).

Cellular Therapy Product Transportation and Shipping is a critical step in our transplant programme, since cell therapy products will move from one city to another while patients will refer to their own hospital, except for cell processing, which is located in Pieve Sestina-Cesena. Standard operating procedures (SOP) for transportation of the cellular therapy units have been specifically designed to protect the integrity of the product. Personnel are trained on a regular basis to transport cell product as well as preserving cell integrity.

A specific software has been developed by our service to monitor all critical steps in the management of cellular therapy products. The records management system has been designed to facilitate tracking of the cellular therapy product from the donor to the recipient or final disposition and tracing from the recipient or final disposition to the donor. All the information concerning the HSCT performed in our metropolitan program have been incorporated in an electronic case sheet called LOG80 and, specifically for HSCT process, GETRO, which was developed by our network. The use of this tool has the purpose of organizing the HSCT service information and provide all medical and lab records pertinent to HSCT.
