The 4-2-3-1 (2) is my favorite formation in Fifa 16. It is a really balanced formation. The defense is extremely strong with multiple CDMs and 4 in the back. The attackers are spaced very well and really allows you to attack through the center of the pitch.

The 4-2-3-1 (2) formation could seem lacking in attack without the right players. In order to get the most out of this attack make sure to tell your LM/RM to stay forward. Also have one CDM that is more of a true CM. Make sure he has above 70 defending, but also good overall with good attacking stats. Stats like passing and shooting are vital for this position. Make sure he can help on the attack and help with the defense.

The key to winning and playing with the 4-2-3-1 (2) formation is to run your offense through the middle. Get the ball to your CAM and ST and let the rest of the players make runs around them. It is a great formation to get the ball to the ST around the penalty area, make a quick move with him and get through on goal. If you are having problems with the attack make sure your attackers have good attacking mind sets and one of your CDMs helps out as well.
