“Sour Milk Sea” is one of the most fascinating hidden songs in The Beatles’ universe.
Written by George Harrison in 1968, the song was never officially released by The Beatles. Instead, it was recorded as a demo during the Esher sessions and later given to Jackie Lomax, whose version was produced by George Harrison with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and Eric Clapton.
This is my acoustic demo-style cover inspired by the original Esher recordings — just guitar, lead vocals, layered harmonies, and hand claps, all recorded and performed by me.
I wanted to imagine how this song might have sounded if The Beatles had explored it further in a stripped-down, intimate setting.
