Half Kneeling Chop & Lift - Kinetic U Exercise Series
Transcript:
"Hey team, welcome back to Kinetic U, and now we're going to introduce the chops, but also I'm going to show you the lift, as well.
So what we're going to do with the chop, is you're going to set up with a half-kneeling position with your inside knee up. Your left knee is going to be right under the left hip, and your right knee is going to be right in front of the right hip with your heel directly underneath the knee. From there, you're going to have your arms completely straight out in front of you. Keep your spine tall. You're going to pull down towards your left front pocket. Keep your arms straight the entire time. Then slowly return, keeping the spine tall the entire time, not pulling and flexing, rotating. Okay? Keep that spine tall, just like that.
Now with the lift, it's basically the mirror opposite of the chop. So you're going to have your outside knee up, right, foot under left hip, and the right knee directly underneath that right hip, spine nice and tall, just like that.
These are great exercises to help build core stability. Have fun with them, and be kinetic."
