❓ Use a mid-semester survey as an ungraded, optional way to capture student feedback at the midpoint of the semester.
🥸 By making the survey optional, student responses will likely be more genuine, especially if the survey is anonymous.
🗓️ Leave the survey open until the week before finals so that as student opinions or experiences change, there’s a mechanism in place to capture and review them.
👏 The best part about a survey like this is when students are pleasantly surprised to learn that something they mentioned in the survey is being addressed in realtime. Just don’t overpromise on expectations.
