About the Composer of "Canon in D"
Johann Pachelbel was born in Germany, in the city of Nurnberg in 1653. He wrote many sacred and secular works during his lifetime, but he is best remembered for "Canon in D." It is a work based on a four measure chord progress, and uses variation techniques throughout to develop the composition.
