It seems like a daunting project, but with a few basic tools and a hoist, it's a easy do it yourself project. The jackplate provides several performance enhancements to the boat. Six inches of vertical lift allows for safer shallow-water running, adds top end speed, and provides for quick and hole-free shallow water anchor mounting.
