WILD 1000+hp Nitrous LSX - TUFSS3

Описание: With the popularity of supercharged and turbocharged LS engines, it’s refreshing to see Nitrous applications are still alive and well. A great example of this is Tim Holmyard’s VX Commodore.

We’ve featured the car before but this was the first time we’d seen the car his a chassis dyno. Having previously laid down an 8.55 quarter mile, the Commodore is one of the quickest IRS suspension equipped cars in Australia.

Looking to trap over 170mph Tim has recently pieced together a new 444 cubic inch LSX engine. Improvements include a Dart block, Dailey Engineering dry sump oil system and custom CNC ported CID LS7 cylinder heads by Higgins Race Heads.

CID are the only Australian manufactured LS heads with a range of ports suited to naturally aspirated and boosted applications for L98, LS3 and LS7 engines. All heads come CNC ported and feature CNC valve seats.

Tim has also fitted the new to the market CID LS7 inlet manifold alongside a larger Wilson throttle body. The factory GM computer is still retained works well with the Direct port 300hp progressive nitrous system.

On Sam’s Performance’s engine dyno the LSX recently made 870hp naturally aspirated so lets so how it does at Westernlink Automotive’s chassis dyno.
