About Asuncion: Club Sol de América is a Paraguayan sports club, mostly known for its football team. The club is located in Barrio Obrero, Paraguay, and it was founded in 1909. The stadium Sol de America uses for most of its first division games is located in the suburb city of Villa Elisa on the border of the capital city, Asunción. Sol de America have won the Paraguayan First Division title on two occasions, in 1986 and then again in 1991. They also have a strong basketball team and an athletics department. // Estadio Luis Alfonso Giagni is a multi-use stadium in Villa Elisa, Paraguay. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Club Sol de América, who have played there since it was opened in 1984. The stadium holds 11,000 people. // El Club Sol de América es una asociación deportiva de Paraguay, situada en Barrio Centro Villa Elisa de Gran Asunción. Fue fundada en 1909 en Asunción, ciudad donde se encuentra su sede social e instalaciones deportivas, salvo la cancha de fútbol principal que se halla en el barrio que lleva el nombre del club en la ciudad de Villa Elisa del Departamento Central. En fútbol milita en la Primera División de Paraguay, división en la cual es uno de los equipos que en más torneos ha participado. A este nivel retornó por última vez, luego de dos años de ausencia, tras ganar el campeonato de la Segunda División en el 2006. Cuenta con dos títulos de campeón nacional y ha participado en torneos internacionales oficiales. // El estadio Prof. Luis Alfonso Giagni es un estadio de fútbol de Paraguay que se encuentra ubicado en la ciudad de Villa Elisa, a unos 16 km de la capital del país, Asunción. En dicho escenario, que cuenta con capacidad para 11 000 personas, hace las veces de anfitrión el equipo de fútbol del club Sol de América de la Primera División de Paraguay.
