RBA keeps cash rate on hold

The Reserve Bank has kept the cash rate on hold at a record low of 0.1 per cent for the tenth board meeting in a row, but the move was not surprising, according to Sky News business reporter Edward Boyd.
Reserve Bank Governor Philip Lowe has consistently indicated the cash rate would be on hold until 2024.
Mr Lowe said the Delta variant had disrupted Australia’s economic recovery but had not derailed it, and the RBA expects the economy to be at pre-pandemic levels by mid-2022.
