Discovering the Magic of Blue Ridge Mountains from Mary's Rock Summit

Описание: Today we're hiking to the summit of Mary's Rock. One of the more popular hikes in Shenandoah National Park. Located in the central portion of the park, the trailhead is easily accessible from the Thornton Gap entrance and is a 3.4 mile out and back with plenty of options to add distance. In our case we added a bit more distance (2.5 mi) as we continued on to the Byrd's Nest 3 Shelter.

Mary's Rock is the park's 5th tallest peak at 3,514 ft and offers beautiful westward Blue Ridge views of the Shenandoah Valley and Massanutten Mountain.
