When you interact with Poketomo, it can respond to your feelings by using its intelligence. So it will rejoice at your good news or share empathy with you on the bad moments in your life.

Your interactions will be recored, both the happy moments and the emotional problems you share with Poketomo. It will then keep a diary of all these daily conversations, to then reminisce, reflect, review, or report on later. Poketomo can also record images using a camera, mounted inside it open mouth. So you can look at the view of the same scenery and comment on it together.

Portability…………………………..
Although Poketomo is very small and portable, you do not have to take it with you. As you can communicate with it through your smartphone, using an optional designated App. The App is free to download, but will incur a usage fee. In addition, communication charges will be incurred when downloading the App - says Sharp!

Emotions…………………………….
Poketomo can express its emotions in many ways. It does this by using a combination of the LED ring light on its belly that changes color and flashes, together with hand and head movements, and also the tone of its voice. Sharp said that it only speaks Japanese at the moment but English and other languages will be available in the near future.

Overall, Sharp says Poketomo`s mission is to make your every day a fun day and to cheer you up by gently lighting up your life.

Poketomo is scheduled to be available in Japan from around November 2025.
