Train Cab Ride NL / Shunting + Delft Update / Watergraafsmeer - Diemen - Rotterdam / VIRM / Jun '22

Описание: Hi everyone! Welcome on board a brand new Train Cab Ride leading you over the Dutch Railways. This time I'll have a video that contains shunting and a new update for the Delft situation. I hope you will enjoy it. Have a good one.

0:00 Watergraafsmeer - Train 83214 to Amsterdam Zuid
We start the ride on Shunting Yard the Watergraafsmeer. This is a big yard where trains get cleaned and get their checkups, maintenance and more. This specific location is meant for maintaining the Intercity Direct trains for the HSL.

Before we depart we aks permission for departure from the Train Dispatcher Watergraafsmeer. This is need because we need to pass the S-sign (stop board). After this board until the first working light signal all junctions are hand operated. The Train Dispatcher can only allow one driving train at the time at this piece of tracks.

After we got the permission we are allowed to drive our train over the hand-operated part of tracks. The junctions have already been set by one of the Watergraafsmeer Shunters. Still the maximum speed is 10km/h and we must drive on sight to make sure all junctions are in the correct position. Also we must watch out for other drivers working on the Watergraafsmeer. Now let's go!~

At the end of the Watergraafsmeer we must wait until it's our time in the train schedule. Time for a picture. Also I speeded up the video a bit here so you can still see all the other trains between Weesp and Diemen Zuid passing by.

Because we're driving right behind a Sprinter Service we must take it easy on the speed. The train dispatcher allowed us to drive with -2 minutes on the clock. So we're not driving in our planned path.

Here you can see some tracks splitting up. Also at the top of the station you have the tracks from Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena (left side) to Amsterdam Central Station (right side). Didn't mention them in the video.

19:02 Amsterdam RAI + Amsterdam Zuid - Train 3214 to Rotterdam
We arrive at the station where this train will start driving with passengers. At this station we change the trains number from 83214 (empty train) to number 3214 (passenger train on the line Arnhem - Schiphol - Rotterdam vv). We skip some time in the video as well. Not much to see there at this time of day.

26:00 Schiphol Airport
Arrival on tracks number 6 at Schiphol. Because we arrived on a yellow signal and then changed tracks. Our departure speed is set to 40km/h on departure until we have passed the speed sign for 80km/h again.

A bridge without overhead wires. Remember to shut off the trains engines to prevent lightning coming from the pantographs. This could damage the wires and the pantographs and of course the trains systems.

The Sprinter Service was just running ahead of us and didn't clear our path yet. Therefore we must prepare to stop the train. On our way to the red light our path get's cleared to our arrival platform. Arrival on a yellow signal and then changing tracks. So our speed is set to 40km/h on departure again.

The ATB system gives a lower speed train should be allowed. From this point on we must start driving on sight until the next main signal. After passing the main signal we are allowed to gain speed again and of course give the message to the Train Dispatcher.

Final stop for the train and this video. From this point on the empied train will get to Rotterdam Stadion with another driver. From there back to Rotterdam Centraal as empty train to the departure platform to go back to Schiphol and Arnhem.
