This short video created by 2012 summer student Nick Speranzini shows some of the exhibits at Canada's only clock museum, which is located in the town of Deep River, Ontario.
The museum's focus is on Canadian-made clocks from the early 1800s to 2005. The extensive collections include many examples from The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Company (Berlin/Kitchener, Ontario ca 1904 to 1941, Harry Snider's two Toronoto-based companies (1950 to 1976), and Westclox Canada (Peterborough, Ontario 1920 to mid 1980s).
The museum has its own reference library with more than four hundred titles that cover all aspects of horology, including time-teaching books for children.
Visit the museum's fact-filled web site at www.canclockmuseum.ca, which includes pictures of most of the clocks in its collections. Requests for information about family clocks are welcome.
