This is the first show on the September North American leg of The White Stripes Elephant Tour. The band play a nice setlist tonight, while being on the shorter side of most shows in 2003. This show features the only performance of I Got Stripes by Johnny Cash, which was only spoken word. The band also play the first live performance of Man, a rare performance of Pick A Bale Of Cotton (in 2003) and the first Elephant rendition of Truth Doesn’t Make A Noise. Little Room and The Union Forever are in the encore tonight, which I haven’t seen be done before. The band also play great renditions of songs like Death Letter, Apple Blossom, In The Cold Cold Night, Cannon, Isis, Ball and Biscuit, and Hardest Button To Button. Overall, a nice gig to open off the leg, even if it’s on the shorter side.
