Definition: Ratio strength describes drug concentration in terms of a ratio. Here, concentration is defined in terms of one unit of solute contained in a total amount of solution or mixture.


Interpretations:

For example 1:2000

For solids in liquids implies you have 1 g of solute or constituent in 2000 mL of solution or liquid preparation.

For liquids in liquids implies 1 mL of solute or constituent in 2000 mL of solution or liquid preparation.

For solids in solids implies 1 g of constituent in 2000 g of mixture.
